Weโre pleased to announce that the Rosehill Drainage System has won ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ at this yearโs SPOTLIGHT Rail Awards North, recognising its application on the Newton Heath Metrolink drainage project for Transport for Greater Manchester.
The project saw ageing drainage infrastructure replaced with a modular system designed to improve surface water management within the constraints of an operational rail environment.
Manufactured from recycled rubber, the Rosehill Drainage System helped divert more than ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ณ๐ถ๐น๐น, while delivering an estimated ๐ญ๐ฐ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ธ๐ด ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ compared with conventional alternatives.
The award recognises the practical engineering behind the system, combining effective water management with modular installation, long-term durability, and a more sustainable approach to rail infrastructure.
